Today was the day I turned over my company laptop and officially ended my existence as an assistant to my boss… Dominique would have been proud of me as I installed Ubuntu 6.06 over the existing Windows XP, in effect deleting all the files in it… I could have gotten it in a day earlier when I realized that there were still some files of my boss in my laptop that needed archiving for turnover to them.

I attended a reunion of my Dad’s former officemates a few days ago… one unique thing about that company was that it was predominantely made up of Ilonggos… I am assuming this was because majority of the good agriculture schools came from that area at that time…

I was texting the manager of one of my boss’ other companies regarding some stuff that we worked on together… end of the year so trying to rush to get some closer closure on one of our projects… on ending she invited me to their company’s christmas party… she said that our boss was going to pass by and she wanted me to keep him company and to entertain him…

That has got to be one of the weirdest work related requests I’ve ever heard *snicker*

Yep, been doing field work so I haven’t been able to blog (sounds like an echo of a previous post)… to the extent that I’ve reached the eastern part of the Visayas already… so it looks like I’ve tripled the current distance I’ve previously traveled… the great thing about this trip is that I didn’t have to drive a single kilometer… too bad however that I wasn’t able to get Smart 3G to work on my phone, hence wasn’t able to get online to check mail and blog and stuff… I have to remember to go to the Smart Wireless Center and ask them how to set it up…
