Smart Bro System Screw UpThis I can’t understand about my intermittent Smart Broadband Connection. I get intermittent connection yet during the sporadic times I have connection I get a ping response from the DNS servers of SmartBro with a time of 30-40ms.

Here we go Again, Smart Bro-ken

Yep, 2 months after I fixed my SmartBro connection, here we go again with 3 days of intermittent connection… of course tech support concluded for the nth time that they should send somebody over to reposition my antenna… and for the Nth time I will sit here waiting for the tech support truck that will never come… so in the end I will be left to my own devises to reposition my antenna…

Sheesh, time to break out the ladder all over again… Yep folks, stay away from Smart Bro… unless you like climbing ladders and waiting for tech support technicians that will never come…

Smart Broad Band ISP Speed Test

After fixing my SmartBro connection last week (by increasing the height of my antenna), I’ve had no complaints with my connection. I did a speed test and I’ve found my upload and download speeds to be satisfactory. With that kind of speed I’m confident that I can handle voice communications.

Ok, till the next bout with intermittent connection comes up that is…

Initially I didn’t want to do this because this is SmartBro’s problem and not mine… But now that I have effectively concluded that SmartBro has no Customer Service whatsoever and is in fact the worse Philippine Broadband Provider there is, I’ve decided to fix the connection myself… 3 calls were made by me that cost me about 200 bucks each already (the last was P249) which ended up with the CSR’s concluding that somebody has to come over to re-align my antenna and yet nobody came… those guys don’t know the benefit of a return call when the sender is unavailable to pick up his phone.
