I was saddened by the news, that Datu Ibrahim “Toto” Paglas passed away yesterday at the young age of 53 due to bacterial meningitis. The first and only time I met him was when I attended a speech he gave. I could describe him as being charismatic, jovial and approachable.

He did a lot to bring peace to his hometown, the outcome of which had a rippling effect on strengthening the peace in Mindanao.
