Litany Against Fear
Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear.
I will permit it to pass over me and through me.
And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
Where the fear has gone there will be nothing.
Only I will remain.
from Frank Herbert’s Dune novel… One of my most favorite novels of all time. I think however that it sounds better in this form:
Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear.
(and) I will permit it to pass over me
(and in the end) Only I will remain.
more or less I think that’s how they made it sound like in the tv series.
