George Carlin Dead at 71
A few months back I posted about George Carlin’s very funny monologue on God being a joke as well as the miraculous answer as to why we suffer. I was surprised today to find out in CNN that he died of a heart attack.
George Carlin was a really funny guy. I enjoyed watching his comedy routines because it was truly one of those “whoa” moments listening to his insights. His theories and view in life are definitely “unique”. Check out CNN’s page on the life of George Carlin.
You might be wondering how come my Faith was not affected by people who like to point out the absurdness of faith and religion. Well, lets just say that God has made too many miraculous events occur in my life that its hard for me to think that He doesn’t exist.
It helps that early on God blessed me with a Yaya who was deeply religious and who advised me to Pray always… even when there is no need… pray for others… pray even just to give Thanks… always be humble when you pray… make it personal not something you read off a prayer book…
Just recently some friends I was praying for had something miraculous occur in their life. Its really true what they say that when life closes a door on you, God will open a window. What they got for their loss was definitely more worth it.
I’m not perfect. I’m a sinner like the rest. So if God can forgive me and answer my prayers, why not you?
