One Bar

I’ve realized that toddlers are like cellphones. Putting them to sleep is like waiting for that last bar in your cell phone’s battery meter to die out.

After dinner I usually head on to our room in order to spend it with my wife and son before he goes to sleep. Depending on my sleeping pattern, I want to at least be the second person he see’s when he wakes up or the first to the last person he see’s before going to sleep (he always looks for his Mom when he wakes up).

Lately it takes longer and longer for him to go to sleep. Not because he’s not sleepy, its because he doesn’t want to go to sleep. By that time he’s already rubbing he’s eyes and laughing at every thing that is not even remotely funny, which is the sign that he is already very sleepy.

My son likes running and running around the house and we usually stop him for fear of him hitting his head. Yeah we hid all the breakable stuff a long time ago already. Then we realized that if we don’t allow him to burn all this excess energy of his, he would be up till 11 PM. So now its run till you drop.

I hope this is just a trait of toddlers and not something he got from me. I have an over active mind and take a very long time to fall asleep unless I’m dead tired.

at least he’s fit, healthy, and active … hehehe ^^

maybe you can find a way to Turn him Off instead of waiting for the battery to drain. hehehe (sing songs for him? read a story? hihihi)
