Check Point…

Over Lunch yesterday, I suddenly stopped short in stuffing a morsel of beef down my throat, looked at my wife and asked her:

Have I been a Good Husband? A Good Father?

Thankfully she said “Yes” and touched my cheek while saying so.

It’s comforting to hear that from your wife… pretty soon I will be asking that to her and our son…

It’s good to get feedback once in a while from people you care about. The funny thing about family is that since they are family you think that whatever you say to them doesn’t matter. Since they are family you think that you have the right to treat them lowly or take unjust advantage of their kindness.

I don’t ever want to be the example my family gives whenever one of them does an exposition on the saying “You can choose your friends but not your relatives.”

If one can be good to other people, why can’t he be to his own family? Family is top priority. Of course. Keep your love burning for your wife and kid, bro. Happy for you.
