Ahhh… June… The NBA finals has always been the warm up to the Greatest Show on Earth… Yep, Amateur basketball at its finest: Collegiate Ball… be it the NCAA or UAAP Games, it’s always fun to watch players playing for school honor and pride.

June is special, its that time of the year when your blood turns either yellow, red, green, blue or maroon… *snicker*

An Honest Man

What happens when you put an honest man in a position to run the government? This.

I’m not saying a man of the cloth because we’ve seen men in habits do dastardly acts… what we need are more honest men in the top tiers of government.

Seriously, if Governor Ed ran for president in 2010, I’d vote for him.

Letters from the Past

I found a compilation of letters written by my Grandfather to my Dad and his brother. The letters were written in the 1950’s when my Dad and his brother were working in a farm in Mindanao. My Dad was in his early 20’s at that time. I found it by accident when I was going through my Dad’s old file cabinets while looking for some stuff. You could see how different it was back then, the duration between each letter was a month while for urgent messages, telegrams were used.

Disconnect

Why is it that each generation will always feel disconnected from another? Why am I thinking this way? Well a couple of days ago I was listening to a popular radio station in Davao when I suddenly had the urge to change the station. I was suddenly in the “What is this crap?” mental mode that my parents once had when the radio in the car was tuned to our radio station. To think that just a few months ago I could still appreciate the music at that station.
