In the end, what matters most in life;
Is not what we’ve bought, but what we’ve built.
Not what we’ve got, but what we’ve shared.
Not our success but our significance.
Not what we learned but what we’ve taught.
Not our competence but our character.
Not how long we will be remembered, but by whom and for what.
Live a life that matters most, live a life that really cares.

The very first New Year’s Greeting that I have received via text message today. Quite inspiring that I felt it should be posted, even though I don’t know who wrote it.

And with that I bid: Happy New Year to All!

Half Full

We went out to the grocery today and I noticed that the battery charge in my car wasn’t full. The starter turned a quart abruptly before starting up. From the grocery it did the same thing. I noticed that the battery was way below the 12 Volts mark already when I was about to turn the ignition, meaning that it wasn’t able to carry a load anymore.

Jules Verne Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the SeaBeen reading Jules Verne’s: Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea these past few days. Then I realized that this book, published in 1870, is older than anybody in the planet right now (except maybe for the odd prehistoric tree).
