C.A.T.S.
Stands for Caffeine, Alcohol, Tobacco and Stress… stuff I have to get out of my system because as it turns out, my reflux has taken affect again… I thought that I had fully healed from last May’s Work Stress induced relapse of my stomach problems but it turns out that that wasn’t so…
Alcohol and Tobacco aren’t a problem since I’ve long quit them and I’m only a social drinker… Stress, errr… hopefully this year those blasted issues can be contained… Caffeine however was the big sacrifice as I can’t seem to sidestep it that easily from my life. I take it in the morning as coffee and at lunch and dinner as Iced Tea or Coke.
Iced Tea and Coke had to be replaced with God’s Life Giving H2O but with the Coffee I wasn’t going out without a fight. I put to work a recipe that my Yaya used, which gave me rice based coffee. It was basically rice that was roasted on the pan till it turned dark. After which you boil it then filter to make the dark liquid magic that tasted like coffee. The other variant that I learned of today was to make use of corn grits instead of rice.

Masarap Rice Coffee mo?? Talaga? Tried it a few years back and didn’t like it–smelled like burnt rubber..or maybe di lang talaga masarap yong natikman ko. Pano ba yan, no more Blugre!! Tsk..tsk.
I’m starting to become a coffee junkie na rin and it’s freaking me out…seriously!
happy anniversary!
coffee’s good man. It has the most antioxidants ^^ (or maybe next to green tea lang don’t actually really know hehehe )
as for rice coffee, does it taste like nugi cha in japan? I love this drink taken cold! waaah! so refreshing!
Just make the acronym singular and you’d be okay. Or replace the Stress with another S (three-letter word) and that would be GREAT!!!
@Gypsy
Tastes just like coffee, don’t think it should taste like burnt rubber… Occasionally I think I can try Bluegre “Occasionally” is something I like to define loosely… hehehe
