The Majestic
One of the great things about my neck of the woods is waking up to the site of this landscape (aside from waking up beside the beach). On the left most side is Mt. Apo, the tallest volcano in the Philippines while the second and third peaks are the Catigan and Eden area. Mt. Apo is actually behind the two peaks.
Whenever I take my son out for his morning walks I can’t help but pause at the sight of this mountain range (do they classify as mountains or as mere hills?, ah the sparks of a debate!) [click to enlarge]
Forgive me for the blurry picture, they actually look more overwhelming in person. I had to wait for 7AM to be able to take this shot in order to get the correct light on the mountains, too bad it didn’t come out as I had expected.
It’s like a reminder on how small and finite we are compared to this massive structure and it leaves the question as to whether what we are doing in this world is enough to make a dent as similar as to these mountains towering over us?
While you ponder that thought while sipping your coffee, don’t forget to suck up the fresh air while you’re at it *snicker*

I also have the view of the majestic Mt. Apo from our veranda at home. I miss the scenery already.

Hahaha, yeah it’s something we Davaones musn’t take for granted… spectacular view really… it’s what
I enjoyed while I was working in Laguna, the provincial lifestyle. No mountains to see but at least you had the grassy fields and occasional crossing cow
Reminded me of the time when our class in Geology had a trip to the foot of Mt. Apo to observe some gasoline thingy (i forgot) but I wasn’t able to come because of some accident from a habal-habal we used to ride in UP.
