Sibling Rivalry
Prior to the arrival of our son, our very first “baby” was a pug named “Ugly”… Ok Ok, I get into a lot of flack for having a cute dog named that, its because my Dad came up with that name for our first pug and so when the second pug came along my mother named him again “Ugly.” What can I say? my Dad had a weird, sick and cruel sense of humor when it came to naming our dogs. Well now that I’m man of my own house things are pretty much going to change around here in the dog naming department *snicker*
Alas I digress. I guess “Ugger” had a feeling that once Lil’ Hoop came into this world he wouldn’t be the Favored Son anymore. To the point that when Lil’ Hoop was still in his mother’s womb he would accidentally kick him while his mother was lying down, once or thrice it happened.
When Lil Hoop was eventually out and crawling all the dogs had warmed up to him except for Ugger, he did his best to stay out of his way whenever Lil Hoop came a crawling.
Now that Lil Hoop has started to learn walking and actually out weighs “Ugger” already, payback time has arrived for Ugger. Revenge is a dish best served cold and Lil Hoop serves it in the following ways:
- Dirty Trick No. 1 - During Lil Hoop’s snack time of bread sticks, he gives to all the dogs except to Ugger.
- Dirty Trick No. 2 - He fakes giving Ugger a bread stick when the reality is that he has nothing in his hand.
- Dirty Trick No. 3 - Instead of a bread stick, he gives Ugger a piece of elongated rock that looks like a bread stick.
- Dirty Trick No. 4 - The mother of all dirty tricks is that when Ugger was not facing him, he goes over to him and pisses on him. After Ugger shakes off the piss you can hear Lil Hoop laughing diabolically in the background.
Little Hoop takes after his Grandfather alright when it comes to his sense of humor, I just hope we don’t end up with weird sounding dog names again whenever he grows older.
