During a Wedding of a College Buddy in Davao, one of the wedding organizers passed around a dedication book for the couple. Once it got to me I wrote on it “Health, Wealth, Happiness and Peace of Mind” then signed my John Hancock.

When one friend saw it, he thought for a moment then signed his name under mine then he grunted that I used up all the great lines with that dedication. The other guys followed suit, signing their names under his.

Sibling Rivalry

Prior to the arrival of our son, our very first “baby” was a pug named “Ugly”… Ok Ok, I get into a lot of flack for having a cute dog named that, its because my Dad came up with that name for our first pug and so when the second pug came along my mother named him again “Ugly.” What can I say? my Dad had a weird, sick and cruel sense of humor when it came to naming our dogs. Well now that I’m man of my own house things are pretty much going to change around here in the dog naming department *snicker*

PBA Rules

With the recent rule changes in the PBA, which allows for more lenient foul calling (definition: rougher style of play) between the players so as to acclimatize the League to FIBA style of Officiating, I can’t help but notice that some of the players have formulated their own interpretation of the term “Defense” The end result is that there has been more technical fouls called, most probably due to the spate of non-calls being made with this new Philosophy of “letting the players play” building up to this technical foul crescendo.

A God Damn Slap in the Face

ph_pres_estrada.jpgIf ever President Macapagal-Arroyo decides to grant a pardon to ex-President Joseph Estrada, that would be a bloody slap in the face of all Filipino’s. Not to mention to all those who have been languishing in prison convicted of the same crime.

Recently, the ex-President and his lawyers withdrew his motion for reconsideration which was contesting his conviction for Plunder and instead asked for pardon from his former Vice-President.
