Blazer Paolo Orbeta Arrested for Game Fixing
I was quite surprised by the news that greeted me this evening. Benilde Blazer, Paolo Orbeta, was arrested on accusation of point shaving in an entrapment operation conducted by local authorities yesterday. He and 3 others were presented to media this day. His co-accused were a bookie, a fellow student of La Salle Benilde and a Cop.

La Salle Benilde will conduct their own inquiry into the matter but as for now he won’t be allowed to play on the team. Also to be investigated was his accusor.
You know its sad when an amateur league such as the NCAA or UAAP are preyed upon by game fixers who rob the spirit of the game from all the fans. Not to mention the very whisper of them lurking in the league will have fans casting doubts as to the outcome of each game.
Reminds me of last years scandal, where a star player from one of the final four teams was also accused of throwing the game due to gambling involvement.
