Davao Blogger’s and SEO’s Get Together
Along with the Aileen Apolo’s visit to Davao to promote Google University. The hard working Google Country Consultant also found time to touch base with Davao City’s local blogger and SEO community. Of course The Usual Suspects were there in majority at Cafe 51 in Victoria Plaza. Thanks for the treat Aileen!
I had to leave early though as my whacked up sleeping cycle suddenly had my soft fluffy mattress beckoning me to sleep. Or was it the San Mig Lite that sped up my need for sleep? Eniweys, I had to rush home least I fall asleep while crossing 2 rivers and a hill during my drive home… Of course one benefit of that early departure is me waking up this early to post this entry.
After washing up and getting a harsh denial from my wife to kiss my son good night least it wake him up and turn sleeping time into a 2 hour playtime, I quickly crashed into our bed and stared belting out my nightly snoring concerto…
I also learned from Blogie where Cafe 51 got its name from. It turns out that the number 51 has a very special meaning to the Japanese owner of the Cafe. His favorite baseball player’s jersey number is 51, the birthday of his wife is on 5-1 and that the number 5 and 1 are similar sounding to the owners name. This of course had the effect of the Cafe being opened on May 1.
