Spurs Take Game 2 of 2007 NBA Finals
I was too wrapped up watching the FilOil Flying V Invitational Cup Final Four to post about Game Two of the 2007 NBA Finals. What can I say? The Spurs just put the capital “H” in Home Court advantage. If a team gains 29 pts on an opposing team in the Finals… blow the whistle and please give them the trophy…
The San Antonio Spurs are just too Hot!. I mean even the Spurs bench players were able to key a 12-0 run in the first quarter. While also making 13-17 of FG in the 3Q. A 76% clip? Oh man!, that is just too plain Demonic for me.
Tony Parker was impeccable, from drives, teardrops and a rare 3 pointer, he just couldn’t miss. And the other thing I’ve noticed about watching Tony Parker, is that the network always gives you the obligatory Eva Longoria close up whenever Tony Parker makes a great shot. The network just can’t miss Eva! Oh yeah, he also top scored in that game with 30pts.
Of course, as with any “Hot” Team, complacency is their worst enemy. The Cleveland Cavaliers, behind Lebron James and Boobie Gibson keyed a 25-4 run that brought the lead down to just 8 pts. Of course it was Parker, Ginobli and Duncan again who stepped up and arrested the bleeding offense in the fourth to bring the lead back up to 12 and end the game with a 103-92 Victory for the Spurs.
Manu Ginobli ended the game with 25pts while Tim Duncan had 23. And one other thing, with the way he played in the playoffs to the Finals, Robert Horry is good enough to deserve his 7th ring. This guy plays defense, this guy hustles and this guy shoots the dagger 3 with a high percentage. Some guys aim for just 1 ring, well this guy got 6.
