One more reason I’m glad to be in Davao
One great thing about living in Davao is that I never have to pay exceptionally high toll rates when travelling through our National roads.
In Manila, during a daring midday robbery, some cops got delayed while pursuing some robbers through the North Expressway.
The car [with the robbers] drove through the toll gates past the barricade while pursuing cops were delayed when NLEX toll keepers reportedly insisted that they pay the toll.
It was bad enough that 2 hostages were killed, but did something as absurd as a toll fee have to hamper the pursuit of justice for about 10 minutes? Or is it because cops have a reputation of stiffing toll operators of their fees? Go Figure?
