120px-portland_trail_blazer.pngYep, the lucky bastards. Considering that the Memphis Grizzlies had the worst record in the league and therefore had the bigger chances of winning the first pick, they ended up with only the 4 th pick.

So who are the big name stars to enter the draft? We have Joakim Noah of Florida Gators Fame who led them to the NCAA championships, rival Greg Oden of Ohio State who is said to be as good as Tim Duncan was in Wake Forest, then big name Kevin Durant from Texas. The wild card however is Yi Jianlian from China. Who is touted to be the next Yao Ming but in a forward position. Like all Chinese basketball players you get good fundamentals with a soft shooting jump shot. Did I mention that he is just 19? so there is the debate on whether he is physically mature enough to handle an NBA game.

Want to see more of Durant and Oden? Check out this summers FIBA’s America’s Championship where they will be playing for team USA. The top 2 teams who win gets a shot at Olympic Gold in 2008.
