Lil Hoop took to the beach this week. The previous weeks morning walks would just call for passing by the beach to get some much needed sea air and watching the dogs bathe themselves in the sea shore.

The Original Star Trek’s 5 year mission was “to boldly go where no man has gone before.” Looks like in keeping with this mission, James Doohan, will have his remains dispersed into outer space.

James Doohan, played the character Montgomery “Scotty” Scott , Chief Engineer of the USS Enterprise (NCC-1701). The funny thing was that although the role called for a Scottish Engineer (because all great engineers are Scottish!), Jimmy Doohan was infact Canadian Irish. His portrayal imortalized the line “I am giving it all she has got, Captain!” and “Beam me up, Scotty!” which bore a thousand and one parodies in different movies.

Remember those beauty pageants where the host asks the contestants what they think the world needs?, and most of them answer “Word Peace”…

Owing to a very dismal season for the Pacers, brought about by trades and second chances given to players that did not bear fruit, then capped by the team not reaching the playoffs, Rick Carlisle stepped down as head coach of the team. It was announced as a mutual agreement between the coach and management by team president Larry Bird.
