This week, I was made to do the cash count in the pawnshop and money exchange main branch. I do the cash count in the other branches but this is the first time I’m doing it in the main. There’s a lot of things to remember. I have to know where each and every centavo is.
I also learned this week how to compute the SSS and PHILHEALTH contributions of all the employees, not only in the pawnshops but also in the farms. I also started computing the withholding taxes.
Counting money not your own is not fun.
This weekend, there is a subasta at the main branch. Instead of taking me with them to Tagaytay, I was left in the pawnshop to work.
My cousin is my boss. There’s a lot of pressure not to mess up. He knows where I live and he has the keys. If he and/or his wife gets mad at me, I have nowhere to hide.
By being his cousin, it might also mean that he will be more lenient with you when you create mistakes…cheer up
