Baby’s First Word…
My son said his first distinct word today… would you believe it was “Pork Humba”?…ok, so actually that’s a phrase and not a word…
The conversation went like this during his lunch when my wife was spoon feeding him.
Lil Hoop: Hmmm Hmmm Hmmm
Mrs. Hoop: Humba?, That’s not Pork Humba that’s Beef.
Lil Hoop: Pork Humba
My wife and his Nana were mouth agape afterwards. She excitedly told me when I got home from work that Lil Hoop was able to say his first word, err phrase. When we tried to pursuade him to do it again by repeating over and over the phrase “Pork Humba” he didn’t. Not a peep, just the consistent “Hmmm”-ing
I wonder if that counts as his first word? Does he have to be able to say it when you ask him to repeat it? or does repeating a phrase count? Arghh, the technicalities of “firsts”… the only thing I’m sure of, Lil Hoop never ceases to amaze me every single day.

Hahaha thanks… very hard to believe too on my part… except that it was both my wife and his nana who was telling me the story
Even if he isn’t smart, I’ll still love him like a father can love a son
