Tomorrow will be the 79th Academy Awards, with all the glam and glitter at the red carpet, all eyes will be focused on that… but barring something “BIG” coming up after that, definitely March Madness will be the next thing occupying the US Masses minds…

The most vivid submarine movie I ever watched when I was a young boy was “Das Boot.” It was made into a movie by the famous director, Wolfgang Petersen with Jürgen Prochnow playing the lead role of the Captain of the boat… The following year it was also able to get nominated for an Academy Award.

One of the distinguished bosses at work was relating a golfing story to me. There was this guy who was a former member of the Philippine Junior Golfers who had a golf handicap of 8. When he lost his leg due to a freak gun cleaning accident (yes, it’s true, I know the guy) he was able to walk and play golf again via a prosthetic leg. His handicap however went up to 16.

Guess that means if he losses another leg his handicap will go up to 24 *kidding*

I was mentioning to my wife that I had a feeling that my deceased Dad was trying to make us remember him. This was the month that he died and somebody told me before that our loved ones visit us on their death anniversary to remind us to pray for them.
