Got tagged by Jaypee. As a warning to the reluctant reader of this post, my son was born last year so I guess most of the answers will revolve around his birth and my being a dad for the first time *snicker*

What did you do in 2006 that you’ve never done before?

Had a baby with my wife… after a year of trying… a doctor check up, some tests, some docterly advice and some constant nagging from our parents… we were finally able to conceive… phewww the pressure…

What would you like to have in 2007 that you lacked in 2006?

A paid blogging side job… or at least another side business from my day job…

What date from 2006 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?

Sept 9th, the birth of my son…

What was your biggest achievement of the year?

My wife and I became parents

What was your biggest failure?

None that I can remember…

What was the best thing you bought?

Oh a lot of baby stuff…

Did you suffer illnes or injury?

Naah, just one fever that almost wrecked a business trip for me

Whose behavior merited celebration?

Uhhhh? the dogs? for taking the birth of our son very well…

What did you really, really get excited about?

Seeing and Holding my son for the first time

What songs will always remind you of 2006?

Come Fly with Me by Frank Sinatra… was singing it to my son to get him to sleep

Compared to this time last year, I am…

Employed… Hahahahaha

What do you wish you’d done more?

Make money…

What do you wish you’d done less of?

Spend money…

How many one-night stands?

None…

What was your fave TV program?

Amazing Race, the episode which had BJ and Tyler win the Race…

What was the best book you’ve read?

The World is Flat by Thomas L. Friedman

What was your greatest musical discovery?

None…

What was your fave film of the year?

Ackkk… didn’t watch much movies… was able to watch Battle of Britain again though… very old film…

What did you do on you bday, and how old were you?

Went out to a steak dinner with my wife… the following morning we rushed my wife to the hospital for pre-term labor…talk about a birthday I will never forget…

How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2006?…

Ouch… after a year off of corporate attire I actually started wearing corporate duds again…

What kept you sane?

The belief that all bad things will soon pass… got that from my brother…

Which celebrity figure did you fancy the most?

None…

What political issue stirred you the most?

The passing of the Philippine Biofuels Bill into a Law by the Senate and Congress… then the revised Bill finally being approved in the ensuing bicameral committee formed to reconcile both Senate and Congress version… what? you did ask… *snicker*

Who did you miss…in Manila?

Festival Mall… hwahahaha…

Who was the best new person you met?

A lot… from policy makers… to rainmakers… to men-of-war…to snake oil salesmen…to members of the lucky-sperm-club…to the banker in deal-or-no-deal… a virtual who’s who in the Mindanao Scene…

Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2006:

The best things in life are free… but the things you want usually are going to cost you…

What was the nicest thing someone told you about yourself?

Shucks… if we can count this year I would have said: when I got mistaken for a fresh grad… twice!… harharhar

The most touching experience you’ve had this year?

The birth of my son… the pre-term labor with my wife that could have cost us our son…

If you could go back in time to any moment of 2006 and change something, what would it be?

Listening to the doctor when she said that my wife should be bedridden… that would have prevented her from going into pre-term labor… we thought they were just “guidelines”

What are your plans for 2007?

Be the best that I can be as a corporate drone, father, husband, human being… oh yeah and strive hard to get another money making gig going… have you seen the price of tuition these days? yikes…

How are you different now that the year has ended?

Boy, I sure grew up a lot with the birth of my son… not to mention my patience for naughty kids at Mass has just stretched a mile…

What are your wishes for the new year?

Health, Wealth and Happiness for me and my family… Power if can get that in there too *kidding*
