Blockbuster Trade and Roster Revamp for the Pacers

secondary_logo.jpgI was in Pacer/NBA Basketball Limbo this season… That’s why I didn’t know that a few days ago they executed a trade that sent Al Harrington, Stephen Jackson, Saruna Jasikevicius and Josh Powell to the Warriors in exchange for Mike Dunleavy, Trop Murphy, Ike Diogu and Keith McLeod.

The underlying motivation for the eight-player trade with Golden State Wednesday… was to acquire players that better align with both the philosophy and the personality of the Pacers.

One reason I haven’t been watching is because I was bored with the team. Most likely because Reggie Miller had already retired and I felt that there were some “Thugs” in the team…

There was some interest for me at the start of the season because of the return of Al Harrington… but then I just got bored again… ho hummm.. maybe it’s a sign of old age… but who knows, with the entry of Mike Dunleavy, a pure shooter, I might watch a game to see what happens…

I think one of the main reasons why the trade was started was because Indiana really wanted to get rid of Stephen Jackson and Golden State isn’t happy with Dunleavy. I think this trade is good for both teams and for the players involved.

Stephen Jackson played really well in his first game for Golden State. I regret not picking Jackson for my Fantasy NBA team. Hehe :D

Yeah Stephen Jackson overstayed his welcome already in Indiana… :D
