I’m on blogging holiday right now… because my Smart Bro connection has been crapping out too much that I can’t get any work done…
Basically I’m in the same boat with most Filipino’s. With the advent of cheap broadband prices reliability has also gone down with the prices. They say that you get what you pay for. I am assuming that it is user base saturation that is causing it.
Doing a speed test of my broadband connection in the early months I would get the promised broadband speeds. A few months down the road and I see a couple more of those wireless broadband antenna’s sticking out of the houses I pass by on my way home and I notice a dip in the speed of my broadband connection. Yep, you don’t need to be a genius to tie two and two together.
What I think should be addressed here is that the telco companies have to throttle back on the amount of subscribers that they are allowing to sign up. Or at least put a cap on the amount of subscribers per area based on the amount of bandwidth that they can provide. That way there will be no guilt in advertising about high speed internet, because they are sure that high speed internet is infact high speed.
