My son got baptised today to the Catholic Faith. It was a simple ceremony after the regular Sunday Mass…

He looked so cute in his baptismal outfit…

The little tyke wasn’t used to waking up too early, that he knocked himself out during the picture taking with his godparent’s at the altar.

After posing for pictures during the small party that followed afterwards…

he conveniently knocked himself out again at lunch time…*snicker*

This guys antics just makes my day… it’s the kind of thing that you look forward to coming home to after a long day at work… I Thank the Lord each day for blessing me with my son…

Here’s something I learned during the baptism with regards to the Filipino expression “mag saulian ng kandila” (return ones candle.) During the ceremony the God Parents are given candles which are lit during the baptism… afterwards the God parents keep the candle… I made the mistake of collecting the candles afterwards… turns out if you want to relinquish your duty as a God Parent to their child, all you have to do is return the candle… this usually happens when the God Parents and Parents get into a fight *snicker*… according to my aunt this has happened to somebody she worked with… seeing that her God Child was already six years old and having misplaced already the candle, what she did was buy another candle and returned it to the parents… weird but true…
