Boy, do I feel dumb today?… I spent 500 bucks and an hour looking for a hammock in the downtown area for our son because other parents have been advising us to get one so that our son won’t ask to be carried all the time… we were trying to figure out how to fasten the spankingly new hammock in our room when yaya all of a sudden whipped out an extra bedsheet and fashioned one right inside our son’s crib…

I haven’t been able to whack those red plastic balls of mine for two weeks already… I have this pretty bad injury that I got while whacking one early morning… it felt like I twisted a muscle in my rib cage and as soon as I felt that short jab of searing pain it made me grab my chest… So far trying to get up or lie down on our bed is a buffet of pain served by the Marquis de Sade himself, even moving quickly has the same effect… any action I take to try and avoid that sweet spot of pain always falls to naught… I had it “hilot” but it turned worse, I woke up the next day with a light fever and a sore throat Uh-oh…

But then the pain doesn’t prevent me from lying down next to my son to talk to him, nor to pick him up and cradle him to sleep… opportunities like that just make me clamp down hard and endure the pain…
