set414_01.jpgWell the truth is, neither of them passed muster… as we found out a few weeks ago that our son is lactose intolerant because he always had gas pains and he suddenly developed diarrhea… which necessitated a trip to our doctor who then recommended us to switch to Enfalac… checking the ingredients I found out that its similar to what Nan and S-26 have, although majority of the dosage were lower. A handful of the key elements however had double the dosage than what Nan and S-26 had…

Update: Found out that our son is not lactose intolerant. Like all babies, some are sensitive to certain milk brands because their stomach’s are still developing. Just have find the correct milk brand for him.

I found out that Taurine is the main ingredient of Lipovitan, Red Bull, etc. It’s what making babies cry all the time.

There is only 31 mg/100g of Taurine in the Enfalac… S-26 had 37/100mg… good thing you pointed that out, based from what I’ve found in wikipedia, taurine helps premature babies convert cystathionine to cysteine… so for the sake of it, milk companies put that element in the infant formula… it is also known to treat cardiovascular diseases, hypercholesterolemia, epilepsy, macular degeneration, Alzheimer’s disease, hepatic disorders, alcoholism, and cystic fibrosis… it is also said to be able to reduce weight… :D
