Just like Dad

I kinda envied my Dad when he was still alive, because his first swing was always a good one. Ok Ok, backtrack first… let me define what a good swing is for me… right now, since my standards are low because I’m a noob… a good swing is getting your ball airborne at your first crack at the turf without any warm up or practice swings…

And that’s exactly what happened to me today when I practiced whacking at my front yard with some practice balls… I got that sucker airborne and on a straight path on the first, second, third and nth crack… except my Dad never had to think for more than 5 seconds before he swung his club.

The bad thing though… since I was excited at my very good practice run… I whacked continuously for an hour and a half… then fatigue set in and my next hits were all over the place so I decided to call it a day… blehhh…

Practice whacking at your front yard and you’re talking about airborne balls? Laki ng hacienda mo talaga sa Davao, dre! :)

Hahaha I wish mag dilang angel ka talaga Niko’… our house is old and far from the city… and you know how big the lot sizes were before for a few bucks… plus, I’m only using plastic balls, they go only about 1/4 the distance of a real golf ball… :p
