Burning the Midnight Oil…

nullI took up the night shift for my son… relieving his mommy of having to wake up whenever he cries… this evening he was kinda restless so I took to carrying him around so that he will have a restful sleep… when my arms were tired already I put him down and swaddled him (thanks to Jared for this tip) in his crib.

He slept for a while till he started making sobbing noises which made me wonder if babies can actually sob? He was looking at me the entire time while doing this, not moving while trying to close his eyes and sleep…. of course I couldn’t resist his helpless face so I carried him… all the while telling him that Daddy’s not mad at him for wanting to be carried… he slept like a log after I told him that… about 30 minutes later when I noticed that he was in a deep sleep already I laid him down in his crib again…

Makes me wonder if babies can actually feel guilty already? Like when he knocked over his milk bottle, afterwards he was looking at his mother like he wanted to say that he was sorry… weird?

What’s weird is me trying to figure out a while back how put a small basketball ring and backboard in our room so that my son can start practicing his 3 pt shot right after he learns to walk *snicker*
