UAAP at Google Trends
I was doing a Google Trends search on the UAAP.
I found out from Google Trends that:
- Search activity on the UAAP times with the start and end of the season. Fans are probably scouting for team make up and analysis.
- 2004 was a good year for the UAAP in search engines, not sure why it tapered off a bit in 2005.
- 2005 had the UAAP in the radar longer (even with the season ending) because of the eligibility scandal that La Salle was facing.
- 2006 with La Salle suspended, there was a slight dip in activity in the search engine for UAAP.
- There are a lot of UAAP fans in Davao, given that we are no. 4 in the Cities search (After Makati, Manila and Pasig.)
- Based on the regional stats, next to the Philippines the other countries which have active fans are Singapore, Hong Kong and Australia (slight activity only however).
