Long Drives…
My boss asked me to go down south for some research work last week and left his driver and vehicle for me to use… I just nodded but already planned to drive down there instead… it was an hour and a half drive…
I got surprised when his manager texted him asking if he she could use his driver and vehicle since I wasn’t using them on which he hurriedly asked why I wasn’t using his service… to which the manager who was sitting 3 ft away from me asked me what she should answer back at him…
I told her, “just tell him that I prefer driving myself.” That will get both me and her off the hook… *snicker*
I don’t know what’s with long drives that I like so much… I like the scenery passing by, the feel of an accelerator under my foot and a stick shift in my hand… then give me a slight drizzle, cool airconditioning and I’m like a pig in mud…
But then of course I hate traffic and slow moving vehicles… that automatically throws a monkey wrench in my driving pleasure…
