My wife was looking for a maid for my mother-in-law, since in her old age she and her sisters felt that it was not wise that she should still be doing the household chores.

While asking around our place of residence, one of those we asked immediately volunteered for the role. She explained that she wanted to get away from her abusive husband. Who would beat her up whenever he got drunk. My wife asked her if she was sure and she said “yes.” I told my wife that she should be cautious about her since she was in a highly emotional state and therefore was not probably thinking correctly.
