Promoting Davao…
I like entertaining friends from manila and giving them the grand tour of the city… partly because their my friends and mainly because I want to dispel this negative image that the city held in the 80~90’s… that it was part of war torn mindanao… wherein the war : army vs mnlf/milf and army vs npa, would spill out into the city… kidnapping isn’t something to be scared about either… one could literally walk in the streets of the city at night without fear… not to mention that the 911 service of the city is very prompt…
I’m very much happy that those days are behind us… as evidenced by the number of tourists that I see here… be it the local or the foreign kind… That’s why I try to make sure that they go home with happy “positive” memories of Davao that they can tell their friends and hopefully get them planted with the “I want to visit Davao” thought…
Even though it’s hardly felt… I believe that the effort will have a snowball effect…

would you recommend visiting davao to me? magkano kaya ang budget for a davao vacation?
Of course!
I know it’s around 7k/person for a round trip ticket, but you can get it cheaper depending on the season (my friend’s sister bought her’s for 5500). The usual price for a hotel is 1200/night, but there are hostels available that you can get on average of 350/night.
You can get a decent meal here for 50. Flag down rate for cabs here is P26.00. I think airport terminal fee is P200.00
ei nice blog hoops! glad to find another netizen who (like me) wants to help in promoting Davao’s tourism! Kudos to you bro!
