The mere act of walking up to a troublesome computer by an IT person causes the problem to mysteriously vanish *poof*…

This happened a lot of times to me already… the most recent was when I travelled all the way to the other side of Davao to fix my mother’s (it’s a Filipino thing, having extended families and mothers who adopt you) PC… suddenly yahoo mail can be accessed after 3 days downtime…

I reported last december’s downtime to Smart Wi-Fi’s billing department in order to cash in on some rebates… they took my complaint then gave me a number to follow up with billing… bleh… why do I have to waste time to follow up on my rebate?, I thought…

Good enough at this months statement I saw that my bill was adjusted… I only have to pay Php 315… that’s one point for Smart Wi-Fi… Now I really have to make it a conscious effort to always report my downtimes to Smart WiFi.
