De La Salle University has submitted to the UAAP board a request for Leave of Absence for next years Sr. Men’s Basketball tournament…

This is in light of the reforms that has to be done to it’s basketball program because of the recent admission of the school that it unknowingly fielded 2 ineligible players. The request will be taken under deliberation at the succeeding board meeting, because technically one cannot choose to not participate in UAAP mandatory sports, such as basketball and volleyball.

Factions are saying that La Salle is just pre-empting the board who “might” issue a suspension to the school for its said actions after the results of its investigation are concluded by the end of January.

Some say that the backlash and tirades from the crowds are a tad bit too harsh, for a school that admitted it’s mistake as compared to a school that kept silent about it…

As for me, I have no qualms about that decision. Either way I know that we did the moral choice, that instead of sweeping the issue under the rug we chose to let it out… looks like my weekends are going to be vacant come July~Sept :D , which is just great because my wife will be giving birth by that time… talk about planning ahead… *snicker*
