I had the chance of reading Lance Armstrong’s life story in the Mabuhay magazine of Philippine Airlines that I chanced upon while waiting in somebody’s office.
The guy has led a very inspiring life. He set’s a record for the most number of wins in the Tour de France (7 times). The press was actually referring to it as the Tour de “Lance.” What’s remarkable about it was that he was diagnosed with testicular cancer, was able to recover from it and go on to win a couple more titles. He did it by travelling the hard route. During his therapy, he chose a more difficult path which would spare his lungs from the dangers of chemotherapy. The lungs were his reason for success as they could absorb more oxygen than the average man, which is necessary for endurance runs and sudden bursts of energy.

My wife and I went to the field today to view the very first instance of a banana fruit in our crops. Pretty nifty considering that it was targetted to start budding come March. Looking at the size of it, it was about 1 week out already.
