OO
Finally using Object Oriented Programming in PHP… I have to admit that I’m not that familiar with OO in practice… theory yes, but practice no… I’ve learned programming with VB which is not entirely OO as they are touting it to be… so I grew up as a procedural bloke… yup, all “function” and no “class(es)” *snicker*
Now here I am learning C# for the sake of my continuing education and I’m finally getting the chance to program some OO code… my PHP code is benefiting from it as I’ve started to implement it in my coding… it’s not really needed, but highly recommended, since most coding right now is done in OO, why not join the bandwagon…
The benefit I can see in this is that my coding will be reduced… not to mention my aptitude to learn other languages will increase as C++ type syntax is what programming languages are made up of… overcome that barrier and you’ll be cruizing down the programming highway in 5th gear…
Little by little I’m growing up again as a programmer… which is of course fun for me… I’m blessed with actually finding joy in programming and not just treating it as a job…
