The Value of a PDA…
I love my Zire 71… it was bought second hand but who cares *ala ruby rod*… it has kept my life on track and productive… well, both for my wife and I… I jot down stuff for her to do too *snicker*…

I have to admit that I get nervous when I don’t feel it’s thick bulk on my side pocket whenever I step out of the house /car/alighted building… it must be Palm dependecy already… hehehe
Of course the Palm is but a shell for the tools that make my life productive. So I decided to take stock of the features that I use all the time, so without further adieu.
The softwares/features that keep me on schedule:
1. Today - which integrates the data between my datebook, To Do List and World Clock in a single view that I can quickly peruse.
2. Progect - a project management tool which I use to set tasks, objectives and time tables to certain projects of mine.
3. Acrobat reader - great for those long gaps where I want to catch up on my reading… it took some time to get used to though… not having a real book to read.
4. Digital Camera - I get to take shots of stuff I see then blog about it. Not to mention when I do my purchasing and am doubtful about a certain equipment that has to be bought, I take a shot of it first then show it to my wife who then decides. See? I get to save a lot by buying the right item… not to mention save me from my wife’s wrath… *snicker*
5. Space Trader - a great trading game that I use for those long gaps too… except then I don’t feel like reading… hehehe
6. Taipan - a great trading game that I use for those long gaps too… except then I don’t feel like reading… hehehe… wow de ja vu
7. Calculator - I’m just damn too lazy to boot up the processor between my ears and do numerical calculations.
8. Memo - I just love to jott down notes… and encrypt them… *snicker*
9. Datebook - that beeping sound of an upcoming appointment could spell either music or blackboard scratches to my ears… *snicker*
Which just made me realize… that Damn! my Palm is under utilized… I have to think of ways to make it more productive

I’ve got a Zire 71 and totally love it. Not sure if you’re into it, but I’ve got a Palm blog that talks about the Palm, especially about my Zire 71 and all the programs that come with it. Right now, it’s focused for Palm newbies but eventually I’ll focus on third party software and tips. Feel free to check it out.
Thanks.
