What goes around…

comes around… noo nee noo nee noo nee noo… :-D I just had to say that… but that’s not what I have to post on today… that was just me being enlightened again with the intricacies in life…

I sure do miss riding in a motorcycle… I got to experience riding a trisikad… the main means of transportation where I live… it’s basically a bicycle connected to a sidecar… fitted with a pumpboat engine… then in order to give it gas, the right hand brake lever is connected to the carburator of the engine and pulling it induces motion… the transmission is just simply a belt system where the slackness on the belt idles the machine…

The entire thing of course is Darwin in effect… before the pumpboat engine got introduced they were using human power… try biking a kilometer with 3 people onboard?… you’d be crying out for an engine too… hehehe… I have yet to discover who’s brilliant idea this was.

Of course we also have man’s penchant for organizing themselves… the trisikad drivers put up a union… they have daily P2.00 parking fee and the fare is P5.00… they earn their income mostly from servicing the daily traffic of villagers but really hit the gold pot during the weekends when a lot of outlanders visit the nearby beach resorts… of course with 70 trisikads in place I have no idea how they earn money… not to mention with the skyrocketting prices of gasoline… I could just imagine the second coming of the Darwin effect… I hope it will be evolution and not extinction… :-D
