Microsoft suggested a joint study between the OSDL (Open Source Development Labs) and Microsoft, whose objective is to create an indept analysis of Linux and Windows… OSDL of course was wary that this was just a marketing ploy of Microsoft to pitch the viability of Microsoft over Linux…
OSDL’s CEO, Stuart Cohen, did a counter punch by offering to work together in a project to let Microsoft Office run on Linux… and that’s where Microsoft left the game… *snicker*
