Disturbing Security Trend on the Banking Front…

Netcraft reports that US banks are shifting their login forms from secure sites to non secure sites in order to ease the traffic a secure connection bears on a site. However once you click on the submit button of the login form, you will be redirected to a secure page.

One point of argument raised by a Microsoft staff, is that none encrypted sites can be easily hijacked. Tthe user, thinking that he is in the banks site, will enter his username and password.

Good thing that in the Philippines they haven’t thought of doing this yet.

There’s this great link courtesy of MrAnderson from PHPUGPH, which checks to see how optimized your site is… meaning how long your page will load for different connection speeds. It even tells you where your bottlenecks are so you can hopefully fix the jams.

It made me realize that I should start using flash for some of the graphics in my site….
