Graduate Degree…
Been toying with the idea of finally taking a graduate degree… so this afternoon I went to Ateneo de Davao to inquire about their MS IT, MBA and MEP…
I’m gunning for the MBA as of this count, more holistic… but if the world were much different, I would have wanted to get the MS IT. Heck, maybe after that?… now I have to brush up on my math/science so that I can take my entrance exam… I didn’t know that there was such a thing as an Honorable Discharge form?… I wonder who I can get to do that for me?, yikes… but let’s see, things might crop up for to forego my MBA plans…
I have to say that the guards of ADDU are a very friendly bunch… usually when gward is mentioned, the first thing that comes to my mind are those dumb-as-dogs, unfriendly, stereotype- all-guests- to-be- investigative- reporters types… here I was proven wrong… they politely asked me where I wanted to go, asked for my id then gave me directions… at one point I got lost when I was heading towards the Graduate school of business… I spied a guard during his roving patrol and asked him for directions but instead of just pointing the way,he led me straight to the office that I was looking for… nice huh?
Beats that creepo-guard at Gaisano center mall, who stopped my car and told me that it was illegal to make a left turn at that junction, pointy finger and all… funny because I didn’t see any sign saying that no left turns were allowed… so I asked him of course, ” so you’re not going to let me enter the mall anymore?”.. he just said next time to not make a left turn and he was going to let me pass… hmmm?*raise eyebrow*… my wife was laughing and telling me na-nag-aambisyon maging pulis… we laughed, I told her that yeah I think he finally remembered that he can’t issue tickets so he let me go…
My friends will probably tease me by saying that I’m shifting over to the darkside by studying at the Ateneo… problem is… I don’t take any insult from these school related barbs… for one, because my dad is an Atenean, along with a brother,a sister and some other relatives… whenever somebody jibes me about being a la sallite, I just brush it off… insulting one would mean insulting my own relative and vice-versa… there are other things better to discuss and I like to stay away from confrontational people, both La Sallites and Ateneans…
When it comes to basketball of course, I cheer for La Salle… I always tease my dad, well, you taught me loyalty and placed me on the other side of the fence… hehehe… well I miss those days, of teasing my dad whenever we beat Ateneo and him when we lost to Ateneo… when it comes to basketball, I always say that it should be clean, fair and when it’s over? leave it on the basketball court… I think that’s how St. Ignatius and St. La Salle would have wanted it..
