Blogging via Ubuntu Live-Cd

Well, I’ve had this linux itch for such a long time now. When I left ex-kaisha I was spearheading the transfer of our OS’s from Windows NT to Redhat Linux AS 2.0… then of course my previous company came a knocking saying that I passed the interview… preceded by ‘when can I start?’, ‘contract nego’, ‘med exam’ then I left the promising Linux Administration world behind for a Laptop, XP and gourmet coffee…

Makes sense? I don’t think so… anywho, to make up for that I’ve converted my home PC to dual boot with Redhat Linux 9… it was going great till I figured out that I can’t connect to the internet with a winmodem… sheesh… I couldn’t fork out cash either for a serial modem… so that died a natural death….

till now, when I got online via smart wi-fi… translation… I can connect via my LAN card… the bad news… during my last re-install… I failed to notice that Redhat Linux 9 failed to notice my LAN card… cripes…

So here I am trying Ubuntu Linux… wondering if it’s responsive enough… turns out its not that much of a memory hog… when typing this I am using 5% CPU and 105mb only of memory… considering that I’m running this via Live Cd and haven’t really installed it yet in my redhat partitions…

Yahooooo… thank you Lord!… I might finally be rid of this windows OS once and for all… hehehe
