Spurs Win… 2005 Champs!
Finally… a basketball post… after how many months?… ok a month most probably… I did post something about Reggie Miller’s retirement…
I was rooting for this team during the finals… because of course of the stoic Tim Duncan… he has a face that could pass a policeline-up… 3 championships in 7 seasons… talk about a great batting average…
Of course the highlights and acrobatics of Manu Ginobli will be remembered…
but what I’d like to note is the heroics and work effort of Robert Horry…
a buzzer beater at the 3 in game 5 was what saved the Spurs and put them up 3-2… not to mention a noteworthy 6 champion ship rings with 3 different teams guarantees, without a doubt, that this guy is a future hall of famer… this is one un-superstar who’s dependability and penchant for coming up with the big shots makes him the perfect role player in a team… hey did I mention my all time favorite highlight of his, was him plucking a ball from a drving player going for a dunk? yup, plucked it right out of his hands (so I guess that should count for both a block and a steal? right?)
And so the season ends… now what hoop?
On to the UAAP… hehehe
