Being an entreprenuer
Barely a week… here’s what I’ve learned on running a business…
1. Tiring… especially when lifting softdrink and beer cases…
2. You feel that everybody is moving too slow…
3. Your standard of perfection moves higher and you can’t seem to be able to lower it…
4. You cringe at every lost oppurtunity to close a sale… shit, I can’t believe I actually ran after somebody just so I could sell him ice…
5. Opportunism is good…
6. Never realized how difficult it is to make ice…
7. You suddenly get forced into being a people person…
8. Never realized the value of having change… crap it could cost you a sale… I actually had to reprimand somebody because of that… you don’t stop selling because there’s no more change, you call the frikkin manager to fix the frikkin problem…
9. I actually had to give effort to try and memorize the spelling of E-N-T-R-E-P-R-E-N-U-E-R… because I know I’ll be mentioning it more often in this blog…
10. I’ve learned that I’m a bigot.. when it comes to lazy people… I can’t stand them not doing anything the entire day… really punches my clock…
crap… and all we’re doing right now is just running the sarisari store..
but heck… we sold 22k for just 3 days of work… I just love GMA for her swapped holidays…
don’t get too excited on that one though… because that is just gross income… inventory is very expensive…
We’ve invested about 20k already to boost inventory… hope we can make it back…
My next project… something I’m trying to sneak in between my delivery boy/hakot/handyman tasks… is to setup the badminton courts… crap, it costs P150.00 here per hour… that’s expensive…
