It must be a gift… to be able to sniff out where to buy a box for sending stuff across the ocean…

Instead of buying the P120.00 balikbayan box, that is in a 20×20x20 size ( standard airport size) in True Value… we scoured the local groceries (3 infact) and got the boxes we needed… here’s the bad news… the tape I bought was good only for 1 box… but the plus… the box was worth at most P15 for each box… south supermarket was selling it at P8… but they ran out for today… we initially bought only 5 boxes yesterday… but with imminent move out of all our stuff… 5 boxes just wouldn’t cut it… we have about an additional 10 boxes…

I learned that I’m such a frikkin book whore… my books covered an entire 3′x2′ box… and it was still over flowing… then again… some of those were books from college… hehehe… engineering books are such space hogs… I wish they start printing books in pocket book sizes… easier to lug around… then again… I only get my books now in electronic format… hence… it’s palm size… hehehe…. I was computing the cost of buying a palm zire vs old fashioned books… I think I’m about 20k ahead already… hehehe

Then again, you still can’t replace the feeling of a good book, a cold glass of milk/juice and a warm reading lamp… have to get used to the feeling of reading while holding the palm in one hand and the stylus in another… hehehe
