How to Build Wealth like Warren Buffet - Robert P. Miles
Spent the night and early morning reading… hence this morning I am totally whacked… this book by Robert P. Miles on the longest serving CEO in US history (37+ years) was what kept me up… it was a quick read.
I got some great quotes on the end of the book and these are the ones that seemed to hit the spot for me…
Stephen Swid
“Being rich is having money. Being wealthy is having time”Albert Einstein
“Anyone who has never made a mistake has never tried anything new”Buddha
“There are two mistakes one can make along the road to truth - not going all the way and not starting”Author Unknown
“Men of genius are admired, men of wealth are envied, men of power are feared; but only men of character are trusted”Warren Buffet
“Never do anything in business that you wouldn’t want published on the front page of your local newspaper. It takes 20 years to build a reputation and five minutes to destroy it.”Mahatma Gandhi
“There are seven sins in the world: pleasure without conscience, knowledge without character; worship without sacrifice; science without humanity, politics without principle, commerce without morality and wealth without work”Proverb
“He that maketh haste to be rich shall not be innocent”
Just goes to show that although wealth can achieved in some many different ways… if you however earned it in such an expeditious fashion… it was either, you were born rich, married into it, been lucky, or did something extremely illegal or immoral… another food for thought… there really is a difference in being rich and wealthy, one should distinguish between the two before aiming for what he prefers… reputation, like wealth… is something that one has to work hard for…
