Ubuntu… Oscars and Closer…
I didn’t know that the Oscars was today until 7:00 PM, when I saw it on the news… I should have spent some time then watching that one… hehehe… just as I suspected…
Jamie Foxx won for Ray… it was a close fight… I wish everybody nominated could win… like Johnny Depp and Leonardo DiCaprio… But then, there can be only one winner and the most deserving got it… of course I was happy for Clint Eastwood and his picture winning best director and best picture… Hillary Swank said she didn’t know what she did in this life to deserve her second best actress award… then of course you have to admire Morgan Freeman for winning the award again…
Today also I received my free Ubuntu Linux Installers… via local mail… they give it away free from the website… so those who want to try it… hop on to their website and get your free installers…. the surprising part about it… was that I was half expecting it to not arrive knowing the reputation of our local mail… but yep… it arrived… surprising eh? I got 10 installers and I’m going to be giving them away soon… on a lighter note… dig our cute bedsheets… hehehe
I also watched Closer… my friend vitriol suggested that I watch it, I initially wasn’t planning to watch it because it looked cheesy and wifey said she didn’t enjoy it… but I did enjoy it for the exquisitely written dialogue… Natalie Portman definitely deserved her supporting actress nod for that one… her portrayal of the girl Alice was supurb… not to mention her lounging around in a thong for a good 15 min of dialogue(?)… oh well, she’s still my crush for being Queen Amidala in episode 1… reminds me of of an anti-Love Actually, with all the brits… same topic, but with a negative ending… know what would have made the movie even better? a bigger cast and Kiera Knightely… hehehe… but then that would be too Love Actually-ish already… hehehe
