I don’t know if I’ve written about this movie already, but heck, why not?
It’s gotta be one of my most favorite movies from 1994 and I always take time out to watch it when its showing in cable. Wifey always said that she’s in awe at me when watching my favorite movies…. wherein I seem be watching it for the first time all over again, because of my facial reactions and my laughing with such gusto… heck, what can I say? I like watching old movies…
Mel Gibson is really successful when portraying a funny guy in cellulite… as witnessed in his previous movies (Lethal Weapon, Bird on a Wire, Air America etc)… Ransom has got to be the first serious film I saw him not trying to be funny…
This movie of course is a western and has an Allstar cast of Jodie Foster, James Garner, James Coburn, Graham Greene and Alfred Molina… there was even a cameo of Danny Glover… quite a funny scene…
